Challenge Accepted!

Let this be a testimony of how my life at college is essentially unremarkable, but consistently amusing. At least it is to me.

The other day I was sitting at my apartment with my roommate, Kelly, and our mutual friend, Jesse, doing basically nothing. Just talking. Somehow Pokemon found its way into our conversation, as it usually does. And, somehow, we ended up challenging Kelly to watch all of the seasons of Pokemon and all of the movies.

I mean, how bad could it be....?

Jesse calculated how long it would take her to do so, and discovered that if she watched Pokemon every day until the day we graduate college (early this coming March), she will have to watch 3 hours, or 7 episodes, each day.

After being told this information, Kelly and I looked at each other, and with a crazed gleam in our eyes, we accepted the challenge.

Just like Ash, we jump into things without thinking
.
Wish us luck. Truthfully, most of the people I've told about our adventure have either been disgusted or laughed at me...I suppose those are appropriate responses. It is kind of insane. I just hope we don't end up looking like this by the end...

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy did we do thissssssssssssss

Sometimes I find myself humming the Poke-Rap to myself as I wait for the bus. And then I remember how sad that is. And then I shrug and keep frolicking into the distance.

Not unlike these fellows.
At this point, I'm fine with doing what I want to do, and I'm fine with people having opinions about what I choose to do with my time. I do things that boys do, enjoy things that most girls have left behind.

And I'm okay with it.

Hokay guys, it's food time. More later.

I only said it was time to eat so that I could include this picture in a way that made sense.
The similarity between this image and my life really are startling.

P.S.
This challenge was only successful for about a week and a half, coinciding with the time at which I beat Prince of Persia, the Sands of Time, for the first time. After that point, we couldn't take it any more, and we decided to end the challenge. But don't be sad for us. It's better this way.
