I've been pretty busy recently so updating this blog has been on the back burner. However, here are some fun videos and things I've taken with friends while summer was still going strong...
My Dog gets Bathed....Soooooo Cute
Fun Times at the Lakehouse Party 2011
Hoop Practice Outside with the Family
Me and My Friends being Ridiculous...Typical
On a more recent note...SUMMER HAS OFFICIALLY ENDED!
Last week was Graduate Student Orientation week. It was pretty informative, but also old news in terms of a lot of the information I was given. I did acquire a few cool magnets...for the counseling center. Haha. Hopefully I won't need those...
Then, starting on last Thursday, I ventured home to help my boyfriend move into his new apartment. We didn't think we'd even be able to move in this weekend, but it worked out in the end! It was a bit dramatic at times...like when the building had his parents' car towed while we were moving in...but it was really fun overall.
That reminds me. EVERYONE has to try the BIG BANG BAR in Columbus' Arena District. It's the most awesome place in the world! I went there twice last weekend with friends and with Boyfriend's parents, and it was just fabulous both times. If anyone's interested in live music at bars and interactive and comedic dueling pianists...well...THIS is the bar for you!!!
And now for the scary news...aaah!
Today is my first day of grad school at Bowling Green State University! It's been a fairly uneventful one...I ran 3.7 miles this morning, cooked lunch, organized my backpack for my class tonight, and surfed the internet for a while. I'm so excited to be a research assistant for some of the coolest professors in my major! I'm also excited to be doing research because it is saving me from teaching the required undergrad speech class, which the majority of the girls on assistantship in my major are doing. Some of them had to start teaching a class they were only just prepared for three days ago THIS MORNING AT 8 AM. Basically, I'm super happy I'm not in their situation right now! I hope that they get through everything without pulling their hair out, it really sounds like it'll be a challenge! They have to deal with every kind of student at college, from the Type-A overachievers (like all of us who made it to grad school) to the kids whose parents made them come to college and don't really care about academics at all. Craziness.
Well, I oughta pack my dinner and get to campus so I can take advantage of FREEEEEEE PRINTINGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm super excited about this free printing. It's amazing. Any money I can save on my own printer ink or printing on campus in general is okay by me!
Catch you later!
